Avenue Q Opening Night
September 10th, 2008Opening night of the musical Avenue Q gave Style Matters the opportunity to participate in one of our favorite activites: watching the crowd. Interior designers Eric Davidson (right) rocked a pin stripe Gucci suit and Dennis Devine (left) sported a Prada jacket, they were showroom ready for the theater. There were lots of women in dresses and pantsuits, men in business casual and of course, the few who won’t give up their jeans no matter the occasion. Oh yeah, we were there for the muscial. In case you haven’t read about it, Avenue Q is a cast of puppets searching for love and purpose in life. The interaction with the puppets and the “humans” is fantastic and the content is definitely rated “R”. The play is creative and funny and tickets start at $25. It’s a great chance for you to visit the fantastic Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the DCPA.
